Bush so deep in denial that he is no longer sane? Most likely.

From AntiWar.com: "On November 28 Bush insisted that US troops would not be withdrawn from Iraq until he had completed his mission of building a stable Iraqi democracy capable of spreading democratic change in the Middle East."

The problem? There is no definitive solution to "stabilizing" the Middle East. In fact, it is highly unlikely that any area of the world will ever be stabilized to the liking of any authority figurehead or the population.

People must learn that violence creates more violence and twisted foreign policy trouncing on the liberty of another nation will only breed more terror and hatred towards those who invade. Is this really that complicated to understand?

For Bush and many conservatives alike, the so-called "American Dream" is a very attainable goal for the entire population. They also believe that world peace through the use of violence and methodically strangling liberty is justifiable. This is absurd, selfish, and INSANE.
